We can understand Paris has unpredictable weather in the summertime—you never know when it's going to rain or the wind is going to start whipping your hair around.  But, Uma Thurman is a veteran when it comes to attending the Paris fashion shows so she should have known that this textured updo wouldn't prevail without a helmet of hairspray.  Or is her hair supposed to look like she suffered a slight electric shock?

Whether this look is deliberate or not, it looks as though her hair was too clean (it's easier to style a textured updo on day-dirty hair) and not enough products were applied.   Also, the loose strands are way too skimpy to pass for tendrils and they just make this ‘do look like a don't.

We will say we were huge fans of the Playing for Keeps star's makeup.  With steely blue eyeliner to accentuate her pale blue peepers paired with siren red lipstick, her makeup look was pure Parisian chic.

Beauty Bailout (Hair): We wish we could have seen Uma when she first stepped out of the hairstylist's chair.  We love the idea of a textured updo, made modern with a thin black headband, but this kind of look needs an arsenal of products to stay put.

As we said before, you should always skip washing your hair on the day of the event to make your hair easier to work with but also to avoid flyaways. If you insist on washing it, make sure you apply a product that will give your hair some texture and grit like Bumble & Bumble Bb. Texture Hair (Un) Dressing Creme while your hair is still damp.

Once hair is completely dry, spray your fingers with a non-sticky anti-humidity hairspray like Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Humidity Hair Spray while creating your updo. This will create more texture and give your hair some non-sticky hold while still leaving it flexible enough to work with.

After you are finished sculpting your masterpiece, spray the hell out of it with the hairspray. Tip: If you find yourself in a flyaway zone, spray a toothbrush with hairspray and brush over your rogue hairs.

Get the Look (Makeup): To create Uma's blue-lined eyes, start by covering your eyelid with a shimmery beige eye shadow like SEPHORA COLLECTION Colorful Eyeshadow in N° 68 Satin Corset. Next, use a cool blue eyeliner pencil like No7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eye Eyeliner in Blue/Grey to line your upper lash line from the outer corner, stopping where your eyeball ends (this will give your eyes a larger appearance). Smudge the eyeliner into your lash line with a QTip or smudging brush.

Then, use the eyeliner to line the lower lash line and smudge.  To complete these eyes of steel, line the waterline with the eyeliner and apply a few coats of your favorite eyeliner.

To get Uma's four alarm fire lips, start by exfoliating and lining lips with either a nude lip liner or a lip liner that matches the exact color of the lipstick.  To ensure your lipstick doesn't budge, fill in your entire lips with the lip liner. Next, apply a glossy red lipstick like Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine in 4 Rouge in Danger.

We hope Uma has learned her lesson and will check the weather report before braving such a hairstyle again in Paris.  After all, we can't blame the city… Like Audrey Hepburn famously said in the movie Sabrina, "Paris is always a good idea."
