Beauty Police: Dianna Agron Showcases a Dowager 'Do and Makeup Don'ts

We would like to state that Dianna Agron is 27-years-old, though her hairstyle tells the story of some mother-of-the-bride. Or perhaps some grandmother-of-the-bride.

We hate to think this young woman would specifically ask for an ultra-conservative old-fashioned updo. We'd like to assume the Glee starlet asked for a cool beehive like Marion Cotillard at Cannes and her hairstylist just didn't tease it enough. And we're not even going to touch those bangs.

We're also confused by Dianna's makeup choices. It's not that we don't like her green eyeliner—because, as you know, we're all about a little pop of color around the eyes—but it totally clashes with the antique coif! Plus, it's a dowdy shade of green.

This redhead could have totally rock a matte emerald green or aqua green to bring out the color of her eyes and flatter her hair color and skin tone. The metallic olive she used is boring and clashes with her features. It's kind of like she thought, "I'll try the colored-eyeliner trend but I won't go bright." No! She shouldn't just dip her toe into the bright colored-eyeliner pool. At 27, she needs to dive in!

And why is she wearing only a clear gloss on her lips? We could totally understand if she was rocking a dramatic smoky eye, but for a couple swipes of olive eyeliner she needs to be adding some color! We're not asking for a crazy statement lip but a nice creamy rose wouldn't kill her. And a celebrity-favorite, coral, would have looked hot with her green eyes and red hair.

Beauty Bailout: The hair simply has to come down, unless she wants to give the updo a retro vibe by adding some clip-on extensions to create major volume. But, even the extensions won't help the bangs issue.

She can't just leave her bangs hanging there limply!  Bobby pin them into the bouffant to give the ‘do some more volume or create a blunt bang. Anything! Our advice is she should go back to sexy finger curls or a California It Girl bob.  These styles have totally worked for her in the past!

To get the retro green, winged eye at home (a look we'd have loved to see on Dianne), try blue green eyeliner like Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Lagoon Green. Make a line along your top lash line starting from the inner corner. As the line passes your eyeball, start thickening it and, once you get to the outer corner, flick the liner upwards towards your outer eyebrow corner. 

Hint: If your line is too thick or your wing too long, use a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover to fix it. Then let the area dry, dab on concealer as a base and complete your wing.

As for lips, with green winged eye you should wear either a creamy, warm rose lipstick like Sephora Collection Rouge Crème Lipstick in 1st Night 13 or go for a subtle sheer coral lipstick like Lipstick Queen in Saint Coral.

We hope the next time we see Dianna on the red carpet she'll be wearing her locks in a more modern ‘do and sporting a flattering makeup palette. 27's a great age and we look forward to seeing Dianna look it!
