Jennifer Lawrence's Edgy Origami Dress: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?

What's black, white and pointy all over? The Silver Linings Playbook Oscar nominee's gown!

Did Jennifer Lawrence swing and miss for the first time this award season?

This Roland Mouret dress is more structural than the Silver Linings Playbook nominee's typically slinky looks and we're not sure if the origami-esque look is working. The black and white is bold against the blond beauty's fair complexion, but we almost want more black on top to balance the bottom panel. Plus, we're also not sure the emerald earrings are the right choice given the graphic palette. Would a metallic work better?
