Gwen Stefani is many things: Musician, designer, fashionista.

But one thing she really isn't known for is being a chameleon. Unlike the Madonna or Lady Gaga types who make their hay by changing looks every 10 minutes, Stefani's built an image on a recognizable, unique style—one part SoCal gangsta, one part British aristocracy, one part Daddy's Little Catholic, all topped with a cherry red lip.

Most of the time.

For her latest cover shoot with Marie Claire, the No Doubt front woman ditched the lips, but kept the rest of her trademark style.

Per the mag, she shunned anything made of fur, "My entire band is vegan," she said. "They would kill me!" Or clothes that were too see-through. But she kept her punky rude girl edge thanks to, among other pieces, a Burberry London jacket, bra by Alexander Wang and pants by Longchamp. Inside, a snakeskin print Belstaff jacket and dog tags by David Yurman numbered among our favorite pieces.
