Kate Beckinsale Dazzles, Literally, in a Dress That Looks Like Bubble Wrap

Well, OK, not bubble wrap. But sequins. Lots and lots of sequins

Is it us, or are celebrities just giving up a little too easily?

They used to do interviews from under six layers of Spanx and 12 tiers of orange fake bake and a toxic cloud of hairspray. Now they apparently roll out of bed, grab some bubble wrap left over from Robert Pattinson's recent breakup move, throw it on and stumble onto the nearest red carpet.

What happened to the class, Kate Beckinsale?

We kid, of course. Love the dress by Vivienne Westwood, which she wore to Porsche Design's 40th anniversary event in Los Angeles last night. Love the unfathomable origami folds, love the tiny-bubble vibe going on, love the fact that it's strapless and yet not black. Love the nude pumps, even though everybody in Hollywood is wearing nude pumps.

In fact, we love the look so much that we're wondering if there's any of Pattinson's bubble wrap left. We're in the market for a cocktail dress ourselves.
