In his new E! series EJNYC, the Los Angeles native is venturing to the opposite coast to spread his wings in the concrete jungle, New York City. With its innate fierceness and solid style presence, it's the obvious location for EJ to pursue his passion for fashion.
But does that mean he's also ready to completely leave L.A. behind? Not so fast…
"I love both cities equally," EJ exclusively tells E! News. "They're both home to me now."
New York City often has a reputation for being grittier and tougher, while L.A is considered more laid-back and relaxed, yet those distinct differences are exactly what the 24-year-old reality star enjoys the most.
"Obviously, New York is just very in your face," he says. "It's very unforgiving. It's very fashion. It's very edgy. L.A. is a lot more pretty, easygoing and free-flowing, while New York is just very fast-paced. That's the thing I love about going back and forth between the two cities—I can get that juxtaposition."
EJ's NYC and Los Angeles squads are the perfect example of that contrast. As he explains, the attitude just isn't the same when you compare his #RichKids of Beverly Hills crew with his East coast "glamtourage."
"I think my New York friends are a little more upfront about stuff," he says. "They never have a problem sharing their opinions. I think my L.A. friends are a little more reserved. They'll give you a more silent shade than just telling you what's going on, but it all ends up being drama anyway!"
