How do you deal with this sticky situation?!

It's that time of year again...the season of love!

On the new reality series Christina Milian Turned Up, Danielle Milian faces serious issues between her husband, Richard, and her family. The couple have been married for about a year, but it has not exactly been a honeymoon phase. The two argue constantly and Danielle admits she feels a disconnect from her new hubby. After a blow out fight on a recent episode, we saw momager Carmen Milian bring out her claws and put Richard in his place.

So what is the answer?! Whether it's a husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend or simply someone you are casually dating, how do you deal with your family not liking your significant other?

Well here are 9 simple steps you can take to help warm your family up to your boo.

9. First, try to defend the person you're seeing. Tell your family about all of their wonderful qualities!

8. When your family asks how serious you two are, start by making it sound casual. It gives them more time to gradually become a fan. Play it cool.

7. Do not let them compare this person to your terrible ex. New person, new attitude people!

6. Try to not get super angry at your family. At the end of the day, they really just want the best for you, so try to avoid snapping at them when they are hesitant to welcome your new lover with open arms.

5. Make sure the person you are dating acts very humble and charming around your family. The last thing they want to see is someone who is stuck up or too into themselves.

4. Point out to your family that he or she is clearly smart. They are dating you after all. And you are wonderful.

3. Let your significant other shower you with attention when you're around family. They need to see how well you are being treated. Don't take it to the point where everyone is going to feel sick though.

2. Pray for a miracle.

1. If all else fails...then YOLO! Life is too short, just be with whoever makes you happy. They'll get over it eventually.

Happy dating!
