Everyone is talking about Ricky Gervais and the "controversial" jokes he told while hosting this year's Golden Globe awards. Considering he did the same type of thing last year and was still asked back, I don't know what the big surprise is. That's like making a 2 a.m. trip to Taco Bell and acting shocked when you wake up in a pile of your own shadoobie. Robert Downey Jr. took the most exception to Ricky's jokes. When RDJ took the stage to present an award, he asked the audience, "Aside from the fact that it's been hugely mean-spirited with mildly sinister undertones, I'd say the vibe of the show has been pretty good so far, wouldn't you?" What...a buzzkill. This is coming from a guy who was arrested for possession of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded handgun. Obviously he was a lot more fun back then.
