The Food Network star chef Giada De Latrentiis graces the cover of Redbook this February. Giada is 40, Italian, pretty and also appears as a mentor on the competition show The Next Food Network Star. Everyone knows how much I love my Redbook, so I was excited to hear what this little Italian number had to say. Giada is married, and since Redbook has been keeping families together since 1903, she gave the readers some advice on how to balance it all. "All men want to be treated like kings in a relationship," she said. "And I think if women don't indulge that sometimes, their men are likely to stray..." Really, chef a-hole? That's your advice to the women of the world? I can't stand it when a woman "speaks out" about marriage as if she has some great wisdom to share but then ends up telling us that in order to keep our husbands from breaking their wedding vows, we have to kiss his ass 24 hours a day. If I wanted to pick up those kinds of tips, I'd watch an I Love Lucy marathon. Every time I think I might want to one day march down the aisle with a handsome man, I stumble across an article like this and it makes me want to find the nearest lesbian, who may or may not be living in my house, and ride off into the Subaru sunset.
