Miley Cyrus Responds to Pre-Oscar Death Threats on Twitter

Starlet lashes out at hater prior prior to attending two bashes with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth

Here's one Oscar night Miley Cyrus will never forget. Unfortunately, it's not for all the right reasons.

Just before stepping out with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth to attend a couple of award show bashes on Sunday, the 19-year-old starlet was busy lashing out against a hater on Twitter who wished her...dead?!

"U have nothing better 2 do than hate?" Miley tweeted in response to hurtful remarks that she "dresses like white trash" and is "so f--king hideous."

"That saddens me," she added. "Im surrounded by love Im sorry 4 whatever happened 2 make u so bitter."

And while the alleged death threats have since been deleted, Miley's response to them remains up.

"I wont tolerate someone telling me 2 die," she wrote while insisting that "Twitter needs to take some responsibility and make it a safe environment."

Thankfully, the evening eventually turned out OK.

"Thank you Sir Elton John for such a lovely night!" Miley tweeted after departing the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. "Now to Vanity Fair. I love all the glitz & glam of the oscars & celebrating such talent!"
