Rafalca, the 15-year-old mare and Olympic hopeful owned in part by Ann Romney failed to make the cut at the summer games, but she won the public over with her pretty chocolate coat and raven tail. While her price tag has never been disclosed, it is believed to be in the six figures. And her upkeep costs more than most families of four spend in a year: In 2010, the Romneys reported a $77,000 loss on their tax returns for their share of Rafalca.
