"A straight-talking billionaire says exactly what a group of lined-pocket supporters want to hear, but what he doesn't know is that the other 47% of the country is listening," reads the logline for this made-up rom-com from the RomCom 2012 tumblr.
Obama rocked this facial expression while meeting the Queen of England at the Buckingham Palace. And he seems to approve of the meme, joking during a Reddit Ask Me Anything: "By the way, if you want to know what I think about this whole reddit experience – NOT BAD!"
Über-funny comedian (and Twitter celebrity) Rob Delaney loves tweeting at his "pal" Mitt, which eventually turned in to an animated tumblr. This particular cartoon's tweet? "Sir, I know I poke fun at you, but I will offer you sanctuary when the GOP tries to draw & quarter you after you lose."
This picture, taken at just the right angle in Iowa's Bayliss Park, was brought to light (no pun intended) by New York Magazine and quickly became a jumping-off point for Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings jokes...as well as some jabs at VP Joe Biden!
Short, sweet and, well...more than a bit juvenile. The tumblr post, which simply read, "mitt romney sucks pass it on" racked up (arguably) 8 million reblogs.
An obvious play off hip-hop group Run–D.M.C., this graphic featuring Obama, Biden and former President Bill Clinton was tweeted out via the president's official account on the night he accepted his nom at the Democratic National Convention.
"Rich people say the darndest things," this tumblr boasts. So it only makes sense to pair up some of Romney's most infamous statements with pictures of Arrested Development's high-class, boozy matriarch.
The original photograph showed Obama awaiting updates on Bin Laden with his most elite staff. The meme has Obama as (duh!) Captain America, along with the whole Justice League (and the Joker to boot) and Hillary Clinton as Wonder Woman.
The plot for this apparent Romney-Natalie Portman flick? "An orator billionaire declares his love for country and promises to restore America's promise without committing to any details," reads the RomCom2012 tumblr.
"You didn't build that." An innocent-enough comment by President Obama about government involvment in (specifically) Romney's businesses. A global meme that has Obama clocking the Wright Brothers, Thomas Edison and even the city that Starship allegedly built on rock 'n' roll.
Among plenty of other Photoshopped posters on the RomCom2012 tumblr is this gem: "A privileged billionaire struggles between being himself and being who everyone else wants him to be."
Hey, birthers (ya know, the people wanting endless proof the president was born in the U.S.), 'nuff said.
