Ariana's openly gay big brother Frankie appeared on season 16 of Big Brother.
"The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out," the actress has said of leaving the Catholic Church for her older bro. "Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"
"We all really wanted to provide some cushion for him and constantly let him know that's it's OK," the Voice host said of his bro coming out to his family. "You've gotta embrace it from the beginning."
The hunky Irishman showed support for the LGBT community in an antibullying campaign, where he called his older sibling "a testament to the kaleidoscope and diversity of this beautiful world."
"I'm down with the gays," says the What's Your Number? star. "Mostly I'm hanging out with [my brother] and his gay buddies, who are f--king hilarious. They're the funniest people I know."
The once-close siblings are no longer besties after the Queen of Pop's younger brother released a 2008 tell-all book called Life With My Sister Madonna.
Even though the three siblings are close, between two booming music careers and a succesful fashion line, older brother Mark jokes, "Not even on the high holiest of Jewish holidays do we all get together."
The entertainer can thank her older bro now that's she's considering marriage with girlfriend Michelle Rounds. Dan's a an openly gay New York Assemblyman and was a major player in getting New York's Marriage Equality Act passed this year.
