They may not take-over-the-world evil, but they're far from being a nice, caring family. Harry's Uncle Vernon (Richard Griffiths) and Aunt Petunia (Fiona Shaw) are less than happy when he's left on their doorstep, and make him live in a closet. His cousin Dudley (Harry Melling) joins in tormenting poor Harry, and the only thing keeping the Dursley's rude behavior to a minimum is their fear of magic.
Harry's first Defense Against the Dark Arts professor (Ian Hart) is weak enough to let Voldemort live on the back of his head, and if that's not bad enough, he kills a unicorn and drinks its blood to keep the dark lord strong. Ew.
She might seem like she's all smiles and giggles, but this Ministry of Magic minion (Imelda Staunton) is about as dark-hearted as they come. As the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher and (for a while) Hogwart's headmistress, she makes Harry's life miserable and, worst of all, makes sure nobody has any fun.
Harry's student nemesis (Tom Felton) gives a whole new meaning bullying, going from name calling to physical attacks (breaking Harry's nose on the Hogwarts express). He even helps Death Eaters sneak into Hogwarts and attempts to kill Dumbledore. Cute, though, right?
Wormtail betrayed his buddy (and Harry's dad) James Potter, turned him over to Voldemort and then killed him and his wife. After faking his own death and framing Sirius Black, Pettigrew (Timothy Spall) disguises himself as Ron's pet rat. Once revealed, Wormtail continues as a loyal Death Eater, helping bring Lord Voldemort back to power.
This werewolf has a nasty habit of changing people into his kind, in hopes of creating a master race. If that's not bad enough, Fenir (Dave Legeno) joins forces with Voledmort and battles for the Dark Lord by killing as many people as possible.
This super loyal Death Eater (David Tennant) impersonates Dark Arts prof Mad Eye Moody, making sure Harry ends up in the Triwizard Cup Tournament, and sends him and Cedric Diggory (Robert Pattinson, sniff) straight to Voldemort.
These creatures feed off happiness and, when they preform their "kiss," they suck your soul out forever. Great, right? As the former guards of Azkaban, the Dementors join Voldemort's team when he rises to power again.
This most devoted and ruthless Death Eater has no problem killing anyone who gets in the way of her master, even her own cousin, Sirius Black. After torturing Neville Longbottom's parents, Helena Bonham Carter's wicked witch is sent to Azkaban, but escapes when Voldemort returns. Her sadistic ways have no end.
He Who Must Not Be Named! Tom Riddle! You Know Who! The Villain Without a Nose! The Dark Lord (Ralph Fiennes) is as evil as they get, even torturing children at his orphanage, starting two magical wars, killing seven people to split his own soul seven times so he can live forever. Now only one can live: Harry Potter or this guy.
Did we leave any great baddies out? Let us know!
