Leading Ladies: Team Bella vs. Team Katniss
Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is an irresistibly gutsy high schooler with a habit of attracting supernatural hunks and getting herself in (and out of) vampy trouble. Man, can she be mopey, though.
Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is a super poor teen hunting to feed her family, with a habit of attracting unwanted attention—especially while forced to fighting to the death in futuristic battle royale on live TV. But does she have to be so clueless about guys?

Love Interests: Team Edward vs. Team Peeta
Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is the most-delicious member of the undead ever (with the charm and swooshy hair to prove it) and has that whole protective knight-in-shining-armor thing down. But he gets a bit stalkery.
Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) is not too hard on the eyes himself (having a nice, buff bod thanks to heaving lifting on the homefront) and he keeps an eye out for Katniss's best interest when they hit the Capitol. Too bad he kinda turns into a wuss.
The Buff BFF: Team Jacob vs. Team Gale
When his sometimes hairy-toosh isn't showing off his six pack and howling at the moon, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) spends his time trying to woo Bella away from her blood-sucking BF. Too bad nobody takes him seriously.
Gale (Liam Hemsworth) spends his time working on his fitness while hunting in the woods and just so happens to know every deep, dark secret that his best bud Katniss has. We wish he'd grow a pair and take the next flirty step already!
The Main Threat: Team James vs. Team Cato
Tracker James (Cam Gigandet) dines on human blood and hunts just for the thrill of it—which is bad news for Bella when the two have a show down at the end of Twilight. No real redeeming factors for this sicko except his six-pack abs.
Cunning Cato (Andrew Ludwig) wields weapons with ease and has been training his whole life to kill—which is no good for Katniss since he's her main competition at the end of the Games. He's bad (and kinda cute!) to the bone.
The Big Bad: Team Volturi vs. Team Capitol
The cunning, unholy trinity of Aro, Marcus and Caius (Michael Sheen, Christopher Heyerdahl and Jamie Campbell Bower) lead the Volturi, the vamp royalty that has ruthlessly ruled over all bloodsuckers since, like, forever. But how scary can Dakota Fanning really be?
In Panem, the Capitol—headed by President Snow (Donald Sutherland)—gets their kicks from watching teens slaughter each other on reality TV, just to show how much power they have over their citizens. They're supposed to have swanky fashion sense though.
The Style Squad: Team Jessica vs. Team Cinna
Chatterbox Jessica (Anna Kendrick) becomes an unlikely pal for Bella, helping B. learn the 411 at her new high school and tipping her off to the pale-skinned Cullen clan. But like most wannabe popular gals, Jess may be bitchy and materialistic at times, but she's got a good heart.
Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) acts as a friend and stylist to Katniss while she's stuck in The Capitol. He's got a killer fashion sense and a brain to boot, coming up with some life-saving strategies for Kat and Peeta. He is on the enemy's payroll, though.
The Unlikely Ally: Team Rosalie vs. Team Haymitch
Rosalie (Nikki Reed) was never the friendliest of vamps—especially when it came to Bella—and preferred bitchin' and bitin' to the usual Cullen kindness. But eventually (after three friggin' books) she came around and helped her newly vamped sis-in-law out.
Seems like Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) prefers drinking to protecting Katniss and her crew and has a nasty habit of embarrassing the entirety of Katniss's District home. Can he ditch the bottle and truly become the kids' mentor?
The Not-So-Bad Guy: Team Laurent vs. Team Effie
Laurent (Edi Gathegi) ran with the tough crowd of bloodsuckers but was nice enough to warn Bella that her life was in danger—which may have saved her from death by James. But then, ya know, he tries to kill her in the following book.
Effie (Elizabeth Banks) works for the evil Capitol and can come off as a real beyotch but she's one of Katniss and Peeta's biggest support systems in the arena. Must 'fess, the only reason she cares if the couple lives or dies is to advance her career.
