We really expected something way more insane from Lady Gaga. Granted, this Armani Privé space lady dress and yellow wig combo isn’t something most normal people would wear, but it's not as distracting as some of her usual outfits, and that pleases us. Instead of being like, "Oh, you crazy Gaga," we can just admire the structure and intricacies of the dazzling design.
Of course Glee's Lea Michele is presenting at the Grammys—she's got some great pipes, plus she's the small-screen It girl right now. The cutie has earned the right to rock this navy Romona Keveza single-shoulder frock with petal skirt. She looks totally sassy and adorable. Our money's on a future trophy (Emmys or Grammys!) for this star.
Taylor Swift is a big winner on the Grammys stage tonight, but she totally failed on the red carpet. Her Kaufman Franco gown is too glittertastic (just how she likes 'em), with an ill-fitting bodice, and the square detail on the neckline is unimpressive. This is a rare miss from the stylish singer—bummer.

Rihanna's Elie Saab gown looks like it’s trying to take her to the superfierce couture fashion queen status she usually begs for. Unfortunately, the dress is a mash-up of Lady Gaga with the feather high neck on top and Beyoncé on the bottom with the exaggerated hips. Not that Ri-Ri cares—she's got the hair, the makeup and the smizing all working for her, so not all is lost.
A couple of things annoy us about Ke$ha, like the fact she makes us spell her name with a dollar sign and the contrived hipster style. But if that’s the image she’s going for, fine—go all the way. Just don’t try to go classy in a pretty gold flapper dress, then pair it with the chunky black sandals and hair feathers. It just doesn’t work and certainly won't help her get crunk crunk.
Fergie has been crazy busy on the red carpet lately promoting her flick Nine, among other things. So maybe she got tired of dressing up? That's the only explanation we've got for why she's barely bringing it in this cobalt-blue Pucci minidress with that silly silver strap and Le Silla sandals. Back to the drawing board, babe!
As a model, Heidi Klum should be able to pull off just about anything. At least that’s usually how it works for the Victoria’s Secret Angel, but that hasn’t been the case lately. This event is another off night for her as she walks the carpet in an Emilio Pucci sequined minidress that looks tacky with its low-cut neckline, keyhole and sparkly animal print. Maybe try a little more fabric next time?
Maybe Katy Perry should stick with the little quirky dresses she usually prefers. This nude Zac Posen gown just isn’t doing anything for the singer. The floral embellishments look cheap, the color washes her out and ages her, and the dress doesn’t offer her ample chest the support or side coverage it needs. We blame fiancé Russell Brand. Or is that not fair?
Squeezed into this skintight Stéphane Rolland mermaid gown, it looks like Beyoncé can barely even breathe—let alone walk—down the Grammys red carpet! To add insult to injury, the fugly art-deco print is adding pounds to B's frame and her two-tone hair is awful. This is the worst we've seen the bootylicious singer in a long time.
Looks like Carrie Underwood's got bridal gowns on the brain now that she's happily engaged. But we hope on her wedding day she doesn't wear anything like this white Edition by Georges Chakra gown with weird silver geometric straps that are neither pretty nor flattering. It's an I-don't, not an I-do.
Damn, Jennifer Hudson's postbaby bod is slammin'! So why didn't she show it off in some amazing couture piece instead of this ho-hum Victoria Beckham Collection dress—and worse, pair it with black tights and heels? J.Hud, you could've done so much better than this!
