This all-American girl-next-door skyrocketed to supermodel stardom in the 1980s and 90s, appearing on the covers of Vogue, W, Harper's Bazaar and more hundreds of times. The Pepsi spokesmodel also tried her hand at acting, starring in 1995's Fair Game alongside William Baldwin and Salma Hayek.
After retiring from the modeling scene in 2000, Crawford's timeless beauty has ceased to fade. Now an avid business entrepreneur and mom of two, the stunning brunette has since passed the torch to 14-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber, who is quickly climbing the ladder of the modeling industry.
Now where would the modeling world be without Ms. Campbell? Just before her 16th birthday, Naomi appeared on the cover of British Elle and later became the first African-American model to grace the cover of Vogue's September issue, French Vogue and Time magazine. Alongside Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista, the in-demand trio became known as the "Trinity" of the industry.

Known as the "chameleon" of the fashion-modeling industry, Evangelista holds the record for most cover appearances for Vogue Italia. Sporting her signature cropped ‘do, she became the face of Revlon, Donna Karan and Versace, and infamously told a photographer she and her supermodel squad "don't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day."
The brunette beauty has continued to model, posing for Chanel, Moschino and Dolce & Gabbana as well as appearing on the covers of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. Evangelista is also a do-gooder, raising awareness for HIV/AIDS and breast cancer research.
In 1984 this Czech stunner became the first Central European woman to make the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Four years later, Porizkova received what was then the highest-paying modeling contract: a $600,000 campaign with Estée Lauder.
This supermodel has gone on to an acting career, appearing in Desperate Housewives and The Mysteries of Laura. Porizkova also judged three cycles of America's Next Top Model and competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2007.
Johnson rose to fame as the first black woman to appear on the cover of Vogue. She was also the first black supermodel to grace the cover of Elle France and she has appeared on over 500 magazine covers. Additionally, Johnson penned the book Beverly Johnson's Guide to a Life of Health and Beauty, which was released in 1981.
After taking the modeling world by storm, Johnson became the star of her own reality TV show Beverly's Full House and launched her own hair extension and beauty line.
Alt found fame in the '80s when she appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and went on to cover hundreds of major publications. She's also appeared in a number of films and she was previously dubbed The Face by Life magazine due to her ad campaigns for the likes of Pepsi and General Motors.
Alt has furthered her acting career, appearing in films such as 2012's To Rome With Love. She also founded the skincare line Raw Essentials in 2008, and in 2013, she joined the Fox News Team with her own Saturday afternoon show A Healthy You & Carol Alt.
The famous '90s stunner used to model for the likes of Christian Dior, Chanel and Versace, although she left the industry in 1997 to pursue a career in music.
Funny enough, Bruna is related to another fashion superstar: Mary-Kate Olsen. She is married to French president Nicholas Sarkozy, who is the half-brother of Olivier Sarkozy, Olsen's reported husband. She also starred in Bulgari's Diva collection campaign in 2013 at the age of 45.
Always the rebel, Moss was discovered at just 14 years old at New York's JFK International Airport. Known for sporting the controversially labeled "heroin chic" look of the 1990s, the English supermodel became a household name through her work with Calvin Klein, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabbana.
After 2005 drug allegations cost Moss several modeling contracts, she took a year hiatus before coming back on the scene with top designers like Agent Provocateur and Burberry behind her. Now 41, Moss is still one of the highest-earning models in the industry and has designed multiple collections for Topshop.
The New Zealand beauty began modeling at the age of 17 and rose to prominence in the '80s when she became a Sports Illustrated model.
In April 2004, she posed nude for a cover-featured Playboy pictorial. She was also married to Rod Stewart for over 15 years although the couple divorced in 2006.
As one of the first black supermodels, Cleveland, who rose to fame in the '70s, was a muse for both Halston and Yves Saint Laurent. She walked in a number of Halston's runway shoes and was regarding as one of his Halstonettes.
Cleveland's daughter, Anna Van Ravenstein Cleveland, has followed in her mother's modeling footsteps. The mother-daughter duo can be seen together in Zac Posen's 2014 Resort Look Book.
The Canadian beauty began modeling straight out of high school in the '90s after she was discovered at a concert in Toronto. She went on to grace the cover of a number of high-fashion publications, including W, Harper's Bazaar and Elle. She also previously served as the host of MTV's House of Style alongside friend and fellow supermodel Amber Valletta.
These days, Shalom, whose name means peace in Hebrew, is known for her charity work although she appeared in a 2012 Vogue editorial.
At just 15, Banks entered the modeling world guns blazing and booked a whopping 25 shows at Paris Fashion Week in1991. The supermodel has walked the runways for Chanel, Oscar de la Renta and Fendi, to name a few, and was the first African-American woman to appear on the cover of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. For eight years, Tyra also strutted her stuff as a Victoria's Secret Angel.
Since her modeling days, Tyra's career has blown up to epic proportions. In addition to starring in Coyote Ugly and Love & Basketball, the model turned business entrepreneur won two Daytime Emmy Awards for her talk show and has hosted all 22 cycles of America's Next Top Model.
