The Aussie pop goddess/actress is stopping by Season 2 of ABC's medieval musical, Galavant. The multi-hyphenate has already been snapped on set wearing a blue corset and golden curls, but there's no word on who she'll be playing.
Some may know her as the evil Debbie Pelt on True Blood, others may know her as Lacy Thornfield from the short-lived but much loved ABC Family show The Middleman. In any case, she'll make an excellent Livewire—the shock jock turned lightning-struck supervillain with the ability to manipulate electricity.
What's better than a new TV movie based on The Lion King? A TV movie based on The Lion King, starring Rob Lowe! One of the world's most handsome men will soon be known as the voice of one of the cartoon world's most handsome lions, and we will soon be tuning into Disney Junior for the first time in our adult lives when the movie premieres in November.
It's Britney vs. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) when the pop star guests on Jane the Virgin—her favorite show—this season. She'll be playing herself and taking her rightful place as the great Rogelio's greatest nemesis, which sounds like a glorious showdown that we cannot wait to see. She'll appear in episode five, and hopefully we'll get to hear her side of her "feud" with Jane's famous father.
You know how we love our Alias, so you can absolutely bet we were thrilled to hear that Vaughn would be joining this pilot. He'll play the friend and mentor of Hollywood's hottest movie star who is about to enter into a contracted relationship with a young actress.
Sandy Cohen is heading to Chicago for an extended stay! Peter Gallagher will be joining The Good Wife in a recurring role as billionaire Reese Dipple's (Oliver Platt) sophisticated attorney, who is dispatched to Lockhart/Agos/Lee to presumably charm some pants off while also doing everything he can to push his client's agenda.
T-Bag's a dad! If that weren't a scary enough thing to say about Prison Break's best villain, wait til you hear who his son is. Robert Knepper will be playing the father of Blaine (David Anders), who's now in need of money after being cured of his zombie-ism at the end of season one of iZombie. Apparently Angus (Yep. His name is Angus!) won't be too happy to be having to support his son yet again, and we don't blame him.
Crazy Eyes and Mercedes Jones are not only joining the live NBC production, but they're playing sisters! Aduba will be taking on the role of Glinda the Good Witch while Riley will be playing her sister, Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North. The live performance of the Broadway classic will be broadcast on December 3 on NBC.
Meet Lois Lane's younger sister, Lucy! Jenna Dewan-Tatum has been tapped to play Lucy Lane, younger sister to Lois and ex-girlfriend to one Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks).
Ian McShane, of Deadwood and Ray Donovan star, is joining Game of Thrones as...somebody with limited screen time! His role is being kept a surprise, and many fans are speculating that he might be playing someone having to do with Jon Snow's potential resurrection. We can only hope!
Jamie Lee Curtis has a new nemesis! Fashion genius and Rookie Mag editor Tavi Gevinson has been cast as the 19 year-old woman who stole Dean Munsch's (Curits) man away. If that sounds totally scandalous, that's because it is, but if it weren't, it wouldn't really be a Ryan Murphy show, would it?
Prepare yourselves, youths. Singer/Vine star Shawn Mendes is heading to The 100 as a young ark survivor, and the way EP Jason Rothenberg kept talking, we think the show might be headed for a musical episode. "He's a very talented artist, and we knew we wanted to do something special and different for the premiere. Shawn gave us a unique opportunity and I can't wait for our fans to see our collaboration," Rothenberg said about the role. Hmm...
Hot damn! We won't have to miss The Good Wife's Kalinda for much longer, because she's coming back to TV! She's also going comedic with a role on Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She'll appear in the second episode of the third season, which will air October 4, and she's playing Lieutenant Knox, and she's setting her sights on a surprising target named Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio).
The Cool for the Summer singer is joining boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in season 2 of Robert Rodriquez's From Dusk Till Dawn series. She'll appear in the season finale of the 10 episode season, though her role is being kept a surprise. As huge Camp Rock fans, we can't wait to see Demi back on our screens, and she'll totally be playing a similar character on the supernatural crime drama, right? Right.
After his charmingly idiotic portrayal of Burt on Raising Hope, it's going to be weird to see Garret Dillahunt go in a slightly different direction when he joins The Mindy Project in a major role. He'll play Jody, a charming southern doctor with traditional values who replaces Mindy when she goes on maternity leave. He's definitely not a fan of Mindy, and we can't see him being much of a fan of the rest of those lovable idiots either. We certainly can't wait to see how his arrival plays out!
Constance Zimmer is taking a break from her villanous ways on Lifetime's UnREAL to engage in some more possibly villainous ways on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. She'll play the mysterious head of a government organization, and Coulson's (Clark Gregg) latest adversary, which sounds exactly like something that is relevant to our interests.
The pop star is going from singing in the shower to singing with the Lyons when she heads to Empire this season to play someone reportedly named Valentina. Other details about her role are unknown, but she joins an ever-growing cast of guest stars heading to the Fox juggernaut for season two, including Ludacris, Marisa Tomei, Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, and many, many more.
FInally, Diane Keaton on a weekly basis! Even if it's only for eight weeks. The Oscar winner will star opposite Jude Law in HBO's new drama about an American Pope.
Kurt Sutter has tapped the singer to recur on his new FX series as "an ambitious and deadly protégé of a high-ranking church elder." Ed Sheeran killing people? Well, that's unexpected, but we're totally on board.
We have to go back..to ABC. Yep, Terry O'Quinn is back at the Alphabet Network. The Lost star has joined the cast of Secrets and Lies, appearing opposite Juliette Lewis and Michael Ealy. O'Quinn will play Ealy's father. There will be murders.
Lady Gaga's going to have quite the foe on AHS this season, because Naomi Campbell is checking in as a fashion editor who pays the price for her critiques when she goes up against the singer-turned-star of the season. She'll be appearing for multiple episodes, but it doesn't sound like her time there will end very happily...
Not going to lie, we're actually not that excited about this one. We love Michael Beach from his roles on ER, Sons of Anarchy, Secrets & Lies and more, and we love The 100, but we just don't feel like that show needs more adults. The ones it has are already so frustrating! Why can't they just let the troubled teens make all the decisions?! Beach will play an Ark survivor who is "tough and charismatic" with a "staunch moral code." Yeah, that's not going to go over well.
Could Papa Argent have headed off to Starling City when he left Teen Wolf at the end of season four? That's what we're going to believe, at least, when J.R. Bourne shows up on Arrow as the villain Double Down—a meta human with playing card tattoos that can turn into deadly weapons. That sounds crazy, and we are in.
Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) and Robbie Amell (The Flash) will appear as a pair of agents in the X-Files revival. Ambrose's character is the "sharp, confident" Agent Einstein, while Amell will play the "smart, smooth" Agent Miller. This just adds to the list of news that makes us even more excited for this revival than we already were.
