Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) will solve his final case this year…at least on CBS. The final season is in full swing, but producers have said it's possible the show could move to a new network.
The show was held for midseason this year and ratings have dipped, but Melissa McCarthy is one of the hottest names in Hollywood right now, leading CBS to pick up the show for a sixth season.
Oops! After picking up Will Arnett's sitcom for a second season, CBS had a change of heart, and canceled it early into its sophomore outing. "We are looking for shows that get traction and build, like Mom has done this season," network boss Nina Tassler explained. "It was a tough call."
While critics (us included!) are huge fans of the show, the rom-com sitcom has never been a massive hit in the ratings. Unfortunately, it could not be saved at Fox, and the show has been sadly canceled, no doubt setting the apocalypse into motion.
However, all is not lost, as it sounds like there are talks going on with Hulu for a season 4, so you can bet we've got our fingers, toes, and even our eyes crossed in the hopes that this show doesn't have to die just yet. We need to meet Baby Lahiri-Castellano!

Allison Janney and Anna Faris (aka one of TV's best mom-daughter combos) will be back for a third season of laughs and life lessons courtesy of Chuck Lorre.
