Happy Halloween!

We have some delicious candy for your trick-or-treat bags. Eye candy, that is, and his name is David Giuntoli.

The onetime Road Rules competitor has made the leap from reality to fantasy TV, as the star of NBC's new fairy-tale cop drama, Grimm, premiering this Halloween weekend.

Find out from David himself why Grimm is one of our favorite new fall shows...

Five Fall Shows We Love: NBC's Grimm Is Not Your Mama's Fairy-Tale Series

As homicide detective Nick Burkhardt, David says his "whole world is up-ended" when learns he is a descendant of supernatural hunters—Grimms—tasked with protecting the world from "otherworldly Grimms' Fairy Tale creatures."

"It's my duty, my family's duty, to hunt down and kill the bad ones," David explains, "and work with the not-so-bad ones"—like Silas Weir Mitchell's misfit Monroe, a "rehabbing" big bad wolf.

What first attracted David to Grimm? "I get to shoot a troll dead in the street!" (That's not adorable. At all.) No wonder that he enjoys filming the action sequences so much.

"Doing stunts are tough but it is so fun," he enthuses. "[In one scene] I had to tackle our stunt guy like 20 times. I was so sore for so many days it was terrible."

Grimm premieres Friday, Oct. 28 on NBC.
