Don't you wish when you came in third place in life you ended up with a recording contract? Ah, to be young and part of a world-wide television phenomenon.

Haley Reinhart, who missed the American Idol finals by one week, has signed a deal with Interscope Records. Find out who else is part of her new label, plus scoop on How I Met Your Mother, One Tree Hill, and more in today's TV Update…

THR is reporting that 20-year old Reinhart has officially inked a deal with Interscope, part of the Universal Music Group family, which is also home to other season ten Idol alums Pia Toscano, winner Scotty McCreery, and runner-up Lauren Alaina. An official announcement is expected to be made this week.

One Tree Hill: Former Dancing with the Stars contestant and Disney Channel star Chelsea Kane has signed on to One Tree Hill as a guest star. According to EW.com, she will play Tara, a rival café owner who butts heads with Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Brooke (Sophia Bush). Our cynical friends can feel free to comment on how  convenient it is that Kane's boyfriend Stephen Colletti also happens to be on the show. But if you simply think she's adorable (like we do), then carry on with your day.
