It might be time for Vince Neil to calm down his wild side.

Following the Mötley Crüe rocker's arrest for allegedly roughing up his ex in Las Vegas, Neil will officially head to trial August 8 at 8:30 a.m., E! News has confirmed.

Neil racked up battery domestic violence and disorderly conduct charges in March, following an incident with former lover Alicia Jacobs at a Hal Sparks performance at the Las Vegas Hilton.

The local TV reporter told E! News at the time that a "very drunk" Neil walked into the show "screaming" at her and her friends, and "poked" her on the shoulder hard enough to leave a bruise.

While Neil received a summons to appear in court Monday in order to answer to those incident-related charges, he was not present. His attorneys appeared on his behalf instead.
