If you haven't heard of Lana Del Rey, you might want to educate yourself ASAP.

The singer has made it big on the internet and over in Europe and just crossed back over the pond to the U.S. to play two sold out shows—one in N.Y. and one here in T-town.

And it seems like she's just landed her biggest gig yet: Saturday Night Live!

Or so say sources who work on the chick's tour.

"We booked SNL in mid-January," one of the crewmembers dished to us at her recent L.A. show. "Right before her album drops."

We reached out to Lana's people, who played coy, choosing neither to confirm nor deny plans for her appearance.

That album in question is Born to Die and is set to hit stores Jan. 31, so we're positive a stint as the musical guest on the Saturday-night staple would do nothing but help raise her record sales (makes sense, huh?).

Not the Lana seems to be lacking in popularity department.

"It's insane. We could have sold 5,000 tickets easily," our Camp Del Rey source tells us about her show this week at West Hollywood's Troubadour. "The interest is definitely there, we're just trying to ease into things."

We hardly consider SNL easing into things—especially since there have been bands on the scene for ages that would kill to book that gig. But we're thrilled she's set to make a splashy debut here in the U.S.

Just look at the facts: She's gorgeous, artsy and has that whole pseudo-Adele thing going on with her voice. What's not to like?
