MTVNew Year's Eve got an early start in Las Vegas.
Just last night...
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino hit Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas. The Jersey Shore star not only arrived with family in tow—including his mom Linda!—but also a mystery brunette.
At one point, Sorrentino got on the mic to yell, Happy New Year, while throwing his jewelry into the crowd.
Also there was the very fashionable mom of two, Nicole Richie. The former reality star was on hand to support hubby Joel Madden, who performed a rooftop concert at the club with his band Good Charlotte.
Sorrentino's Jersey costars Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro were also in Vegas. Snookers tweeted many pics from the Palms Casino Resort with boyfriend Jionni LaValle and Beverly Hills Housewives stars Adrienne Maloof and hubby Dr. Paul Nassif.

In other Bev Hills Housewives sightings news, Taylor Armstrong was in Chicago, where she had dinner at HUB 51 with a girlfriend. They were spotted later on in the wee hours sipping champagne at nearby Studio Paris.
Meanwhile, I just got word that Monday's NHL Winter Classic is attracting celebs like A Gifted Man costars Patrick Wilson and Rachelle Lefevre as well as Boardwalk Empire star (and former college hockey player) Vincent Piazza and girlfriend Ashlee Simpson.
