It was a big day for Big Sean last week... Unfortunately, not in a good way!

The rapper, whose debut album Finally Famous earned him a MTV VMA nom for Best New Artist, found himself in hot water last Thursday when a female concert-goer accused him of sexual abuse. Sean Anderson (the rapper's real name) was later arrested by NYPD.

But Sean's lawyer says he didn't do it!

First, let's give you the facts:

Big Sean, who is currenty touring on Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers Tour, and another man, Willie "Sayitainttone" Hansbro, were arrested by New York State Park Police after a female fan complained that she had been sexually assaulted by the two.

The men face charges of forcible touching, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, and sex abuse in the third degree, but each was immediately released on $500 bail.

And now Big Sean's legal representation is insisting he isn't guilty.

"Both men were charged with misdemeanors and they both vehemently deny the allegations," Sean's lawyer, Scott E. Leemon, said in a statement. "I am confident, that after further investigation, both men will be vindicated."

Only time will tell. And if he is indeed innocent, hopefully all this will get cleared up before the Video Music Awards air at the end of August.
