Thus, although Queen Elizabeth II officially turned the big 8-6 on April 21, it was time for one more festive shindig to commemorate the day: the Trooping the Colour parade.
And the monarch's royal family wasn't about to miss it.
Even the Queen's hubby, Prince Philip, who recently recovered from a bladder infection, was on hand for the ceremony Saturday in London, as was Prince Harry, and the Queen's granddaughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Prince William and Kate Middleton were also in tow, looking as smashing as ever, with the Duchess of Cambridge wearing an embroidered silk Erdem dress and marching Jane Corbett fascinator as she stood alongside her hubby, according to the U.K.'s Telegraph.
The traditional military parade, held on the Queen's public birthday every summer (on a day when good weather is more likely), reenacts the traditional preparations for battle in which flags of a regiment, or "colours," were "trooped" in front of soldiers to ensure they could recognize their respective flags during battle.
This year's ceremony marked the 60th parade the Queen has presided over.
