Milla Jovovich Visits Injured Resident Evil Zombie in Toronto Hospital

Milla Jovovich is thanking God this zombie will walk again.

The Resident Evil actress paid a visit to female extra who was hospitalized yesterday with a back injury after an accident on the Toronto set of the sequel saw a group of actors dressed as the undead plummet two stories to the ground when a stage shifted unexpectedly.

Here's what Jovovich had to report.

"I jst [sic] saw akiko (who goes by April btw) and she's in a lot of pain. She injured her back," tweeted the action star. "Thank god she's moving her hands and feet and not in critical condition."

Jovovich added that she plans to check up regularly on the woman—one of 16 people hurt in the mishap whose injuries were among the most severe—and marveled at her positive attitude despite the setback.

"She's a piano player. Her brother plays the violin. I promised her that I would come and see her every week while I'm here to give her support and strength in her recovery," wrote the thesp. "I can't believe she said she wants to come back and finish her part, she's incredible."

Jovovich, 35, also passed along get well messages from fans.

After news of the accident broke, Milla took to Twitter to let followers know that she was feeling sick to her stomach about what happened at "camp evil" during a zombie chase sequence they were filming for the new installment, Resident Evil: Retribution 3D. But she said most of the extras had recovered and were now back on set after receiving medical attention.

All except for Akiko, whom Jovovich noted was the only one who remained hospitalized and who she described as an "incredibly brave woman."
