It's safe to say Mariska Hargitay doesn't get to do much singing and dancing on Law & Order: SVU.

But could the Emmy winner, who recently strutted her stuff in NBC's star-studded Super Bowl commercial, be headed for a gig on Broadway?

It turns out...

"It's been my secret dream to be on Broadway," Hargitay recently told Vulture, adding of her performance in NBC's Super Bowl spot, "so this is my foray."

"When they asked me to do it, they sent me the Amy Poehler clip, and she was killing it!" she continued. "I loved her! So I thought, 'Oh my God, Amy can sing, and I don't sing,' and I've never been more scared."

Luckily, Hargitay managed to pull off the musical "Brotherhood of Man" number. And it turns out, Broadway isn't the only thing Hargitay hopes to take a crack at.

"Mariska should host Saturday Night Live," Hargitay's SVU costar Ice-T recently told us while promoting the Ice Loves Coco season two premiere on Feb. 19 at 10:30 p.m. "[She's] crazy funny. And she can do characters and accents. Impressions. She can act like Borat and she can act Spanish."

So what's the one thing keeping Hargitay from landing a gig on the long-standing comedy series?

"She said, 'They've never asked me,'" Ice dished. "I'm like, 'Well that's strange. I think you're funny!'"

Sounds like it's time for a Twitter campaign—#mariska4SNL, anyone?

(NBC and E! are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
