Russell Brand and Katy Perry may be finished, but is Hollywood turning on the British funnyman?

A tabloid report claims that he's been banned from next week's People's Choice Awards because the "Firework" pop star is slated to be there.

This splitsville rumor is so…

False!

"Russell was invited to the show, but he declined a long time ago," a source said. "If he called today and said he wanted to go, he'd more than welcome to."

The night is expected to mark Perry's first public appearance since Brand filed for divorce on Dec. 30. The ceremony airs live Wednesday on CBS.

Perry has two concerts coming up with one in Jakarta on Jan. 19 followed by Manila on the 22nd.

Brand will be busy soon enough when he shoots Juno writer Diablo Cody's next untitled flick with Julianne Hough and Octavia Spencer. Cody, who makes her directorial debut with the flick, told me recently that filming will probably start toward the end of next month.
