If Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen had a daughter, do you think she would like Taylor Swift?

Probably not, but...

The country singing pop star has been offered the role of Eponine in the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Les Misérables.

Carter and Cohen are already set to play Eponine's parents.

BroadwayWorld.com reports that Swift is expected to sign on, too.

Director Tom Hooper reportedly also approached Lea Michele, Evan Rachel Wood and Scarlett Johansson about Eponine.

Universal just confirmed to me that Mamma Mia! actress Amanda Seyfried is in final negotiations to join the project. (Like Universal, E! is part of the NBCUniversal family). She will be taking on the role of Cosette. Anne Hathaway is playing her mother, Fantine,

Rounding out the star-studded cast are Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and My Week With Marilyn's Eddie Redmayne.

Reps for Swift and Seyfried did not immediately comment.

Swift's sole big-screen acting credit is limited to playing a ditzy high schooler in Valentine's Day. She also did a guest stint on CSI.
