Anderson Cooper is blowing up Twitter.

Not only is he trending today after publicly acknowledging for the first time that he's gay, but celebs like Kelly Ripa, Ellen DeGeneres and Neil Patrick Harris are tweeting him props for the big move...

"Good for you, @AndersonCooper," Harris posted. "You're awesome.

The Silver Fox's fellow talk show host DeGeneres tweeted, "I'm proud of you, @AndersonCooper."

We're sure Mr. Giggles Cooper doesn't mind Josh Groban having some fun by tweeting, "Wait, I'm sorry I only get my news by creeping up behind water coolers with an iPod in my ears. Anderson Cooper is Gaelic?"

And what did Cooper's New Year's Eve pal Kathy Griffin have to say? She posted a pic of them sunbathing with the message, "Here I am w/ my friend @andersoncooper who I'm so proud of."

Other Cooper tweets included:

Joan Rivers: "Thrilled @AndersonCooper came out! So, THAT'S why he never wanted to date me! I would've loved having Gloria Vanderbilt as my mother-in-law."

Lance Bass: "What a classy guy."

Mia Farrow: "In a better world a persons sexuality wd be irrelevant."

Mark Deklin: "Good for you, Anderson!"

Zach Braff: "Personally I think Anderson Cooper is lying. The silver fox is straight as hell and just trying to jump on the Clay Aiken bandwagon."
