Nobody disses Nicki Minaj and gets away with it. Especially not when Lil Wayne's around.

Though the Pink Friday rapper was all set to hit the stage for a star-studded performance at New York's Hot 97 Summer Jam concert last night, some ill-conceived shade thrown her way by the emceeing DJ at the start of the show rubbed Minaj's crew the wrong way, culminating in Young Money honcho Lil Wayne pulling his roster of artists from the event at the last minute.

So for any still curious as to the whereabouts of beef, it's apparently alive and kicking on hip-hop radio...

The trouble began earlier in the evening, when morning-show DJ Peter Rosenberg took to the stage at the MetLife Stadium to introduce one of the opening acts.

"I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later," he said. "I'm not talking to y'all now. F--k that bulls--t."

Well, it didn't take long for his comments to reach Lil Wayne, who subsequently took to Twitter and declared, "Young Money ain't doing Summer Jam."

And that, apparently, was that.

"Wow," Minaj tweeted. "U n---az just f--ked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB...Had a HELL of a f--king lineup. But we won't b disrespected."

Minaj later tweeted that her set would've featured appearances from Cam'ron, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Beenie Man, Foxy Brown, Lil Wayne, Birdman and fellow Young Money rapper Tyga, among others, the latter of whom had already taken the stage earlier in the night.

"Tonight just got interesting g," Rosenberg tweeted after the boycott was announced, refusing to ease back on his comments.

"Last night i said nothing different than I have ever said...it was not a personal dis..it was starships is s--t. WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS TRUE."

So much for being the bigger man.
