Holy Manolos! Someone called Anna Wintour a bitch and lived to tell the tale.

Of course, if you're going to drop a B-bomb on the oh-so-influential editor-in-chief of Vogue, it helps if you're Lady Gaga.

"I can't believe I'm allowed in here," Lady Gaga told the audience last night while accepting the Icon Award at the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards. "When I was told I won this award, Anna Wintour sent me a text message...She text messages!"

The audience cheered...and then they laughed.

"So she sent me a text message," Gaga continued, "and it said, 'We're so excited to tell you you won the CFDA Fashion Icon Award.' And I actually thought it was Anna Treblin, who was one of my very close friends and [my stylist] Nicola's assistant, who I go out and have drinks with all the time.

"I have a couple Annas in my phone, so my reply was, 'Yes, bitch, we did it!'"

Alas, she didn't have the right Anna. Instead, it was the inspiration for Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada on the other end of the exchange.

"Quite quickly I got a reply that said, 'How lovely, and we will all be waiting to see what you will wear,'" Gaga said. "And then I thought, 'Well won't you be helping me choose what I will wear?' And then I said, 'Oh! It's Anna Wintour.'"

It would have been more fun if Wintour had texted back, "Baby, I was born that way," but regardless, the style titan apparently enjoyed the pop star's use of Gaga-ese, and Vogue's March cover girl will likely be back for more.
