The E! reality star, who shocked the pop culture-watching world by filing for divorce from hubby of 72 days Kris Humphries yesterday, landed in Australia this morning where she will no doubt make every effort possible to conduct business as usual as one of the bearers of the family empire.
Fortunately, the newly solo star isn't going it alone Down Under.
"Australia we are HERE!!!! Wooohoooooooo," sister Khloé Kardashian Odom tweeted upon arrival (16 hours after reminding fans to vote for brother Rob on Dancing With the Stars, natch).
"This is my hubby's first time to Australia!" she added. "I'm so excited for him to be here with us and see how amazing it is!"
Happily, Khloé and husband Lamar Odom are along for the incredibly ill-timed trip, as Kim and Khloé will spend two days in Sydney launching their new handbag range, the Kardashian Kollection, with Brucio Schiavi.
A statement from Schiavi assured fans that all promotional appearances would be honored by the consummate pro pair, stating, "They will still be meeting fans who have purchased from their Australian Kardashian Kollection handbag range on Thursday Nov. 3."
After that event, Kim is due to fly (presumably solo) to Melbourne to attend some of the city's marquee racing events.
As for the 31-year-old, while she looked impeccable as always as she left the airport—surrounded, also as always, by a scrum of paparazzi—she remained as tightlipped as she did during her bombardment at LAX last night, smiling through the media's questions about her and Humphries' marital implosion.
However, Kim did figure out a way to speak volumes without saying a word: just as it was yesterday, her wedding ring finger was once again bare.
