It appears Kim Kardashian has decided to take a much-needed break.

The hard-working reality star—who is currently in Australia with sister Khloé and Lamar Odom to promote the Kardashian Kollection handbag line—has pulled out of a final scheduled appearance to return to L.A. and be close to her family and friends.

Kim was scheduled to attend the Swisse vitamins marquee at Saturday's Stakes Day, which is part of Melbourne's annual horse-racing festival, per the Herald Sun.

"I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee, but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time," Kim told the paper.

Swisse confirmed Kim's withdrawal: "All indications were that Kim wanted to fulfill all of her commitments once she landed in Australia but has obviously changed her mind given her very difficult personal challenges at the moment," a spokesman for the company said.

The Kourtney & Kim Take New York star did her best to stick it out Down Under, telling a radio program earlier this week, "I had this work commitment. So I really wanted to honor that commitment and to come out here and to get my mind off everything. You know, there's just no easy way to get through something like this."
