Kelsey and Camille Grammer might be dunzo, but that doesn't mean they're through fighting.

The newlywed actor has just filed legal papers to get sole physical custody of the two kids he shares with his Real Housewife of Beverly Hills ex, his rep confirms to E! News.

But why?

According to Kelsey's filing last Friday, the children—Mason, 9 and Jude, 6—have been having a tough time emotionally since the split and Kelsey's subsequent new marriage, and he wants them to have a stable environment to live in.

There will likely be a big battle over where the kids will live. Kelsey currently resides in Chicago but the children are enrolled in school in Los Angeles, where they live with Camille.

Camille, who was originally willing to split physical custody 50-50, has been playing full-time mom to the kids and had been cooperating with her ex in terms of working out an arrangement for both parents to see the children regularly.

Kelsey wed missus No. 4, Kayte Walsh, in February, seven months after he and Camille filed dueling divorce petitions after 13 years of marriage, and just about five months after Walsh suffered a miscarriage.

There was no immediate comment from Camille or her attorney.

A hearing on Kelsey's motion is set for June 27.
