Practically every celebrity in the universe has descended upon the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week

But no one's going to dish on them like Kathy Griffin will—so when we spotted her last night at the QVC bash during Fashion's Night Out, we knew she just couldn't hold back.

Kathy brought the funny, of course, giving Vogue editrix Anna Wintour some cold, hard advice on loosening up.

What did she have to say?

Well, first let's just clarify that she actually loves Anna's style.

"Believe it or not, I love to make fun of her because her personality is so over-the-top, but I actually love her style," Kathy told E! News. "She's a frigid, frigid bitch, but I love the way she dresses."

As for the frigid part?

"Well, of course she should loosen up. She should pull a Lindsay/Paris and get out of the car in one of her Prada dresses, you know, flash her crotch. Ya know, I mean, hello?" she joked. "It'll help her career. Also, she should be seen stumbling out of a taxi in London. Or wear a big muumuu like Andre Leon Talley, a big caftan would be nice."

No word on if Kathy actually delivered the advice when the editor arrived for the first night of Fashion Week at 9:30 with security surrounding her like she was carrying the Hope Diamond. They kept partygoers at a distance as she signed copies of the September issue of Vogue and was overheard chatting with Sarah Jessica Parker about her latest film and James Wilke (who SJP said she had to soon tuck into bed). She left while the bash was in full swing. It had been her final stop of the night after hitting a Manolo Blahnik bash uptown.

Heidi Klum stood on a platform hawking her jewelry line live in the center of the room, as a pipe behind the bar broke, spraying water everywhere in another corner of the room. Olivia Munn arrived late, after getting stuck in traffic and then getting out of her cab to run most of the way to the party in heels.

Camila Alves and Julianne Hough also hit the party, along with Kardashian momager Kris Jenner.

Meanwhile, over at the John Varvatos store on the Bowery, The Roots rocked the house at a late-night party, where Amanda Seyfried stopped in to listen.

Project Runway (the show's runway show is this morning) guru Tim Gunn was spotted popping into a Lucky Brand party, while some very sexy looking Victoria's Secret angels, including Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio hit the FNO party at V.S.

Ne-Yo dropped into Saks around 8 p.m., where one guest told us that the crowd absolutely lost it when he strolled in.

"It was unexpected—they went completely insane," said the partygoer.

Over in Herald Square, near Macy's, a flash mob, dressed preppy in a Tommy Hilfiger themed look, broke out a routine as Joss Stone sang live. At the designer's Fifth Avenue store, new hip-hop star Theophilus London gave a performance.

Overall, we'd say FNO in the city was a success, even though cabs were hard to come by and the crowds spilled into the streets both uptown and downtown.

The festivites went late into the night, and although the point of the evening is to drum up business for the city, we saw not many people doing any actual shopping.

One party-hopper in Soho summed it up best for us.

"Tonight's like New Year's Eve in New York, but no one actually buys anything. You can't get a cab, it's totally crowded, they all just come to stare and then they'll say they had fun," said one partygoer.

Sounds about right.
