Go back a few years down the Jessica Simpson road and you may remember the gal as the ultimate sex symbol—after all, who could forget her über-tiny frame in those daisy dukes or that sexier-than-ever Pizza Hut commercial? (Not John Mayer, that's for sure!)

But these days, Simpson is uttering quite a different tune, amassing a fortune as a fashion designer and after a very public weight battle, ultimately finding comfort with her figure.

So, what's with Simpson thanking her curves for her current success?

In a recent interview with Lucky Magazine, Simpson explained:

"I got so much scrutiny for putting on extra pounds, but I think that the decision not to make myself anorexic was actually great for branding...Because when you're really, really skinny, not everybody can relate to you."

We love that you've finally come to terms with your figure, Jess. And you're totally right: The key to success isn't always being stick-thin. Just look at our favorite songstress Adele—another gal who has topped the charts by being real.

Plus, since Simpson has found mega-success as a designer, we must agree the gal does have a point. Real women would hardly rush to department stores to buy merchandise from a life-size Barbie.

So perhaps, mistake's on us, and we should have included Simpson in our hot body parts poll?

Or are you so-over the Jessica Simpson weight scrutiny?
