The stock market may have taken a nosedive, but that didn't stop celebs and VIPs from throwing down major money to attend a star-studded fundraiser for Barack Obama in NYC last night.

Vogue editrix Anna Wintour cohosted a fete at Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman's West Village townhouse, where tickets cost $35,800 a person to attend.

The high cost of partying with the President didn't deter stars from showing up. So who was on the list?

Gwyneth Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin, Jimmy Fallon, Alicia Keys and designer Vera Wang were a few of the famous faces in the house, along with NYC governor Andrew Cuomo.

"This is a pretty good-looking crowd," Obama remarked.

Good-looking and deep-pocketed!

The President arrived at the party around 7:10 and left just two hours later after making brief remarks.

Just think about all the cash he raked in. It puts Snooki's appearance fee to shame!
