ESPN may have pulled the trigger but, as far as Hank Williams Jr. is concerned, Fox News loaded the gun.
Sure, the country crooner is ticked off that Monday Night Football dumped his opening tune after a 20-year run because he compared President Barack Obama golfing with Rep. John Boehner to "Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu."
But, according to "Keep the Change," the little ditty he just recorded in response to the controversy, he apparently expected more support from the folks at Fox & Friends (make that Fox & No-Friends-of-Mine), where he fired off his explosive simile.

Then Williams notes his belief that Fox News threw him under the bus by immediately distancing itself from his politically charged comments, claiming that he was supposed to be on there talking about music and not "breaking down the political scene," as his appearance was announced.
"So Fox & Friends wanna put me down / Ask for my opinion, twist it all around / Supposed to be talkin' about my father's new CD / Well, two can play that 'Gotcha!' game / Just wait and see/ Don't tread on me."
And after another round of the chorus, he adds this in a speaking voice: "You can keep Fox & Friends and ESPN out of your homes, too."
The song is available for free on his website. Williams initially blamed the charged political atmosphere in the United State for the harsh reaction to his comments, but the next day, perhaps thinking better of it, he apologized for his remarks.
ESPN immediately took action last Monday in pulling Williams' song and, despite the apology, announced several days later that Monday Night Football would be moving forward without it for good.
