Game Over? Justin Bieber Blasts App Developer for Cribbing His Image

Pop star's lawyers have sent a cease-and-desist letter over unauthorized use of his likeness in the game Joustin' Beaver

Does Justin Bieber like it when game companies use his likeness without his approval? App-solutely not.

Software developer RC3 has been slapped with a cease-and-desist letter by the star's lawyers for its allegedly unauthorized use of his image in the app Joustin' Beaver, whose buck-toothed hero is a virtual alter ego of Biebs.

Guess imitation isn't always the best form of flattery...

In the game, players are tasked with getting Beaver to sign as many "Otter-graphs" as possible while avoiding "Phot-Hogs" who want to stop him along the way. (Sounds like something Biebs himself could score high points in!)

The pop star's lawyers are threatening legal action and are demanding that the game be pulled from iTunes and other app stores. They're also requiring a full rundown of profits generated by it.

Joustin' Beaver currently has an iTunes app-store rating of five stars, with one user raving, "This is a super fun, utterly addictive game!"

Apparently not for Biebs, who's ready for some joustin' of his own in court!
