Don't worry, Paul McCartney. It looks like your "Richest Rock Star" title is safe.

According to Bono, at least.

In the days leading up to Facebook going public, speculation surfaced that the U2 frontman could potentially surpass the former Beatle's estimated $1.05 billion fortune, per MTV News.

"Contrary to reports, this boy is not a billionaire or going to be richer than any Beatle," Bono said during an appearance this morning on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reporting.

The Irish rocker, through his Elevation Partners investment company, is said to own 2.3 percent of Facebook, which is believed to now be worth roughly $1.5 billion, according to NASDAQ.

While it remains to be seen just how much money is actually coming his way, Bono doesn't seem overly concerned about it.

"We do get paid and I'm blessed," he said. "But you know, I felt rich when I was 20 years old and my wife was paying my bills. You know, just being in a band, I've always felt like this. I've been so blessed."
