One or more American Idol contestants seemingly need medical treatment every season. But that's no reason to get "Superstitious"...Is it?

Phil Phillips, an early favorite to win American Idol's 11th season, was rushed to the hospital this morning after experiencing severe abdominal pain, sources confirm to E! News.

But what does that mean for the frontrunner's future on the show?

Phew! Phil is still in it to win it.

A source says that Phil is back in the studio and will be on tonight's elimination show.

Last night, the charming 21-year-old from Leesburg, Ga., turned in what may have been the best rendition ever on Idol of Stevie Wonder's "Superstitious," once again impressing the judges and seemingly guaranteeing himself a spot in the top 12.

There has been no comment yet from Fox or Idol producer FremantleMedia. We're just glad that Phil's journey isn't over already!

Last season, top-sixer Casey Abrams landed in the hospital twice with intestinal troubles, and the year before that, finalist Crystal Bowersox suffered complications from diabetes. In season seven, eventual winner David Cook required treatment for high blood pressure.

Hey, Idol hopefuls are only human.
