What a girl wants, a girl gets. And this girl wanted to be single again.

Christina Aguilera's divorce from hubby of nearly five years Jordan Bratman was finalized this morning, per court records, as the pesky six-month waiting period as required in California came to an end.

But not necessarily a bitter one.

In papers filed on Feb. 9, 2011, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge determined today, April 15, as the day the couple would finally, and formally, go their separate ways.

Aguilera first filed for divorce last October, but has been split from Bratman even longer, as she listed their date of separation as Sept. 11.

However, she's not one to sit alone at home, and she's been biding her return to single status with help from current beau Matt Rutler.

As for Rutler, he was back in his hometown of Newport, R.I., this month, but his petite platinum girlfriend was not by his side.

"She came in December," a worker at local hangout Fastnet Pub told E! News. "I don't think she has been in since, but he was here last week."

As for Aguilera, at the time of her filing last fall, she requested joint physical and legal custody of their 3-year-old son, Max, and the duo has since reportedly hashed out a deal to share custody of the tot.

Helping things run even more smoothly is the fact that money was not among the points that required negotiations, as the duo had a prenup. Earlier this year, Bratman also filed his response to the petition, stating that their financial situation had been "resolved by signed agreement."

So there's a silver lining for you.
