Veronica Webb described it as "fierce." Katrina Bowden called it "edgy."

Lovable designer Christian Siriano kicked off New York's Fashion Week with an afternoon show that debuted 40 outstanding new looks from daywear to night-time chic, and the former Project Runway champ received a standing ovation from the packed house for his efforts!

The outfits—including giraffe prints and solids in bright teals, reds and creamy brown leathers—ranged from outrageous one-shoulder tulle dresses to mini-metallic cocktail dresses to tweed pieces with giant leather belts. The models kept the crowd's attention, even though the show started nearly an hour late.

"He's fun, fantasy and fierce," Webb said of Siriano from her front-row perch. "I'm always excited for Christian. He has his own point of view and he has a lot of energy and he has creativity bubbling out of him. It's one of the top shows."

30 Rock's resident hottie Bowden, wearing both a nude silk Siriano dress and shoes, told E! that the show was "fresh."

"He's edgy and glamorous," she said. "I think he is always amazing, one of the it shows I'd say, even though we have a lot more fashion to see."

There was even a piece she called dibs on for herself. "That one silver dress with sequins I loved."

They weren't the only two fans—at the end of the 15-minute extravaganza, the 24-year-old outspoken designer came out for a quick thank you and got his standing-O. He took it in stride, did a quick bow, smiled and hopped backstage.
