Cheryl Cole Lands Gig With Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz

It appears someone wants to work with the Girls Aloud singer after all. Take that, Simon!

Not a bad (and fast) comeback.

After getting the boot from the American and U.K. versions of the X Factor, Cheryl Cole is bouncing back with a role in the upcoming What to Expect When You're Expecting starring Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz.

There's no word yet on the Girls Aloud singer's role in the flick, but according to her publicist, fans shouldn't expect a major breakout role for the performer's first movie role ever.

"Cheryl Cole is confirmed for a small cameo appearance in the film What To Expect When You're Expecting," Supersonic PR tweeted Friday.

But we're sure fans will be happy to see Britain's sweetheart back in action.   

The film is set to hit theaters in May 2012.
