Charlie Sheen Emmy Shocker! Ex-Two and a Half Men Bosses Want Him Axed From Telecast

First it was footage of Sheen from the show, and now it's Sheen himself...

So, who can't wait for Charlie Sheen's surprise, top-secret appearance at the Emmys tonight?!

Well, Chuck Lorre, for one, could wait a few years.

It turns out that Sheen's Two and a Half Men bosses aren't too keen on their former star presenting an award—-Sheen exclusively told us himself it was really happening!—and in fact are pressuring Emmy producers to cut the actor's bit entirely.

But those guys work for CBS, and the Emmys are all the way over on Fox, so...How exactly does this work?

Well, first off, E! News learned today that Warner Bros. sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences warning them not to air any Two and a Half Men scenes—presumably they mean during montages or to illustrate Jon Cryer's skills in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy category—featuring Sheen.

A source close to the Emmys drama says that Warner itself sent the clip on behalf of Cryer, but...drat that Sheen and his smug mug. He was everywhere!

The Academy complied with Warners' request, however, and yanked the scene in question. But bump Sheen entirely, as Deadline.com first reported?

Please.

With visions of millions of morbidly curious viewers dancing in their heads, Emmy producers are going ahead with "Presenter 007" (really, that was his nickname in the rundown!) as scheduled. Of course, it's the producers' prerogative to change their minds at the very last second, but...Sheen's a go as of this second.

Lorre, whose The Big Bang Theory is nominated for Outstanding Comedy, will just have to grin and deal with it in a vanity card later.
