Which is exactly what happened this week, when Minnie Driver's new boyfriend was identified (thanks to some public and full-on PDA)—and, just as quickly, the through-line to one Ms. Britney Spears became clear.

So what's the connection?

If you haven't guessed by now (and taking into consideration the above photo, if not, you might want to reassess your powers of deduction), Minnie's model beau Matt Felker is the very same ponytailed blonde who locked lips with Brit-Brit in her 2004 "Toxic" video.

The 31-year-old Felker looked nearly identical to his pop music video heyday when he stepped out with Driver on Sunday. The model, who was previously linked with Selma Blair, and the 41-year-old actress made out went out for a day at the beach, hitting up Paradise Cove in Malibu with a group of friends.
