Could Kristen Wiig be planning a trip to the Oscars?

The funnylady's Bridesmaids was named one of the best pictures of the year by the American Film Institute, which released its annual Top 10 list of films and TV today. Other films that made the cut include The Help and The Descendants, which also nabbed today's L.A. Critics top nod!

But what about Harry Potter?!

Relax, Potter fans, your beloved series is getting the accolades it deserves.

While Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 didn't make the Top 10 list, the series as a whole is receiving an AFI Special Award, which is given to outstanding achievements in the moving image that do not quite match AFI's standard criteria! Yes, this is making us tear up a bit. Accio tissues!

Joining The Descendants, The Help and Bridesmaids on the Top 10 list are The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Hugo, J. Edgar, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Tree of Life and War Horse.

Brad Pitt fans are sure to notice that two of the actor's films made the list, Moneyball and The Tree of Life, which means he and Angelina Jolie will most likely be making a trip to the Kodak Theater come this awards season.

Fun fact: last year, nine of the films that made the AFI Top 10 list went on to be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.

On the TV side of things, fan favorite newcomers Game of Thrones and Homeland made the list alongside perennial list-makers Breaking Bad and Modern Family (this is the ABC show's third year on the list)

Three other comedies were recognized, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Parks and Recreation and Louie. Also making the list? Boardwalk Empire, The Good Wife and Justified.
