Fashionista Blake Lively has famously denied having help when she preps for the red carpet.

But at the Met Costume Institute Gala last night in NYC, where the theme was Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, the Gossip Girl star revealed to E! News that she does get some style advice from time to time.

Who weighs in on what sexy stiletto and which fab gown Blake will wear? Hint: It's not just any old stylist.

Oh, just legendary designers Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Louboutin.

The Chanel-clad star gushed, "Christian helped me pick out my shoes...He's a good friend and somebody I trust incredibly. He's the closest thing that I say I have to a stylist. There are few people that I ask—Karl, Christian."

Of course she's on a first-name basis with them, natch.

Blake was at a loss of words, though, when asked about everyone going out and dying their hair strawberry-blond like hers. "Are they?...That's weird," the starlet said, before finally recovering with a short "cool."

Meanwhile, fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker weighed in on her favorite memories of late designer Alexander McQueen. The actress reminisced about "walking up these steps as [each other's] date for the British invasion...at this exact event four years ago."

SJP said she will remember McQueen most for "his superior talent, the way he approached his work, and what an extraordinary sense of humor he was able to have in that seriousness somehow."
